MLX90614 Sensor

Description

MLX90614 is a non-contact infrared thermometer sensor that measures temperatures without direct physical contact. It integrates an infrared-sensitive thermopile detector and a signal conditioning ASIC within a single TO-39 can. This sensor offers factory calibration across a wide temperature range: -40°C to 125°C for ambient temperature and -70°C to 380°C for object temperature. It provides high accuracy of 0.5°C over a broad temperature spectrum and a resolution of 0.02°C. Communication is facilitated via SMBus (I²C-compatible) or a customizable PWM output, making it suitable for applications like medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and automotive systems
